Nomadic Milestone. Pavilion

The nomadic pavilion is located in Tierra de Campos, along the Camino de Santiago, conceived as a shaded shelter for pilgrims to rest and meditate.

The project emerges from research into folded architecture: through cutting, folding and rotation, it generates a lightweight, demountable triangulated structure capable of being relocated to different points along the route. Perforated steel panels, inspired by the pre-Romanesque latticework of the area, filter the light and let the wind pass through, linking the abstraction of the piece with the local heritage.
